Stevie Wonder is a new dad once again!
According to the star's rep, Wonder, 64, has welcomed his ninth child. The newborn is his second child with girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy. The baby daughter is named Nia, which means "purpose".
Wonder, whose birth name is Stevland Hardaway Judkins, was previously reported to be expecting another child last month, when the New York Post and other media outlets falsely reported he and Bracy were expecting triplets. The legendary musician jokingly told "The View": "I got, how many, 22 kids?" On a more serious note, Wonder was quoted as saying: "The truth is, we're going to have a wonderful daughter born in December."
"Rumors spread," Stevie went on, explaining: "Like I said before in the song "Superstition," when you believe in things you don't understand, you suffer. So, you know, that was a bunch of bull."
Wonder and Bracy welcomed their first child, also a girl, last year. His seven other kids were born to several other women, and include daughter Aisha Morris, now 39, who inspired some of Wonder's tracks and even worked with her father on various projects.
Congratulations!!!
